Color matters II
Posted by: admin
Having defined the main characteristics of colors, it could make clear some important aspects concerning the hues and color combinations. As in life itself not happen combine blue pants with a green shirt (in generic terms), web pages goes something like this.
In general, color mixtures should be to "hit" each other. Usually this occurs when using cool colors together, or warm colors together. Equally often appropriate (only appropriate) that cool colors are combined with mixed hot and cold. Curiously, the converse is not true, ie, warm colors tend not get along when combined with a cold mixture and hot.
For example, blue (cold color) is mixed well with purple (color mixture of blue-and-cold-hot-red). Also blue is blended nicely with purple (blue and pink).
Example of reciprocal red
(warm color) is not well with the green (mixture of blue and yellow).
The shades on the other hand, are a mixture of one color with white or black. Using a range of shades of color is a good idea, but be careful with the hot colors. Why? Then just as I explained earlier. While the red, when combined with intense black color and gives a more serious side, if the pure red mixed with white gives a pink (a color difficult to combine). The hue of a cool color, such as blue, for example, is different, it gives a heavenly when combined with white and gives a deep blue when combined with black. No problems in the mixtures.
To give a more serious note, the color is mixed with black, and if we take a look of simplicity and clarity, mixed it with white.
Intriguing examples:
* Website forums famous games consoles which combines green and orange. It has an incredible success, but I remember well the first impression when I talked about it and went for the first time: the first impression was "tacky" and "unprofessional." It is incredible how good content that has the page with the forum, completely remedied the misuse of colors.
* Website of famous covers: Select the gray background but nevertheless very well chooses a blue to detail and a range of blue mixed with gray that gives a clean appearance: appears to say "stay, here's more information of what you expect.
